I am a dance artist based in London and Turku. I was born in Finland and then studied dance at universities in The UK, The Netherlands and Finland. I work with movement because I feel strongly in its communicative power. I look at performance as an event charged with the presence of bodies, emotion and time. My latest works are Wonderful and Fine (2012), Last Dance Before the End of The World (2011) and Carmen (2010).

My aim is to make work that touches our time and reflects the surrounding world. I work intuitively and in dialogue with my collaborators. I always question if what we do is necessary and why do we make the piece we are making in that moment? I am making my pieces to be experienced and so aim to communicate my ideas with clarity.
